After completing formal studies in stained glass, Jeff Smith founded ASG in 1977 as an artist’s studio (rather than the more commonplace production studio). ASG’s overriding goal is art that is dynamically responsive to each unique client. Across the US, ASG’s critically acclaimed stained glass is known for innovative design, impeccable craftsmanship and surprising affordability.

Designs begin with face-to-face meetings, listening, research and analysis. Following design approval, Smith remains personally focussed on the making of every panel of stained glass created at ASG. This hands-on approach allows Smith to transform his designs into stained glass without the “loss-in-translation” that would otherwise occur.
