Studio Window
2.3' w. by 1.6' h.
Mary Baxter and I traded her “Two Domes, Moonset” for this window in her home studio in Marathon, Texas. I think I got the best deal.
This window follows and reflects the roof eave and soffit, while lots of transparent, airy color allows one to interpret clouds as they waft past.
FYI: According to Mary, the painting was done on location at McDonald Observatory in the early evening as the deer began to venture out. The observatory is just a few miles as the crow flies from my studio which gives this painting extra special meaning for us.
